When the CIS service team conducts your survey project you keep everything in view at all times, and you have access whenever you wish. This operates through our online administrations platform CISnet (survey software), providing you with extensive reporting and monitoring functions. You can follow your survey live at any time. You can control quotas and adjust them by yourself conveniently online. Naturally you can also view and download data in table form at any time, and if required you can also create and edit the column headings. Status reports are provided according to your requirements. But through CISnet you also have the option to generate extensive reports and overviews by yourself.

In CISnet (survey software) you can view and download the tables we have prepared. In addition, you have the possibility to view the responses to open-ended questions. If questions have already been coded, you can also view the codeframes and counts. The “Further selections” field enables you to define subgroups from the questionnaire and generate tabulations for them using your own defined column headings etc.

In “Status” you obtain an insight into the current status of your project at all levels, in all countries and from all your fieldwork providers. The status display tells you, for example, the number of interviews in each survey mode and in every level and region. In the statistics display you also obtain additional information on interview break-offs (by question), interviews per day and interview length (per question and in total).

In the online-tool CIS there is no limit to the possible complexity of quota specifications. In the menu item “Quotas” we define the quota cells for your project and for individual countries, telephone studios, etc. Quotas can be set at every level of the project hierarchy and are then applied automatically to all subordinate layers of the hierarchy. In CISnet you can manage the defined quota cells, and pre-set target values can be amended while fieldwork is ongoing.

With CISnet you can view your project data at any time. You can automatically request data in XLS or CSV format by e-mail. You can define which questions to include in the data file. In the menu item “Clean data” you can view the raw data for all questions. This offers you the following options:
- Selection by interview status
- Identification of dubious interviews (e.g. interviews completed too quickly)
- Removal of dubious interviews (the interview is removed from the quota counts but the data is not deleted, so that it can be reactivated at any time if required)
- Display deleted data

The CIS service also includes bringing your data into presentable form. With CISppt, our PowerPoint Add-in, we – and naturally you too – have the means to speedily present your reports in chart form. We access the online data directly from PowerPoint and create PowerPoint charts automatically. Thus, the full functionality of PowerPoint is used without needing to populate the charts with data by hand. For each question, a different chart type can be selected, or you can define it by yourself. On request we can also produce charts in your corporate design, or update existing charts by inserting newer online data.

If your project also involves the coding of open-ended questions, IfaD offers you two options. Either you can entrust the entire job to our experts, with whom you collaborate online to define the codeframes – if you so wish. Our team of full-time coders has many decades of experience in codeframe production and coding. Semi-automatic coding processes and a pool of native-speaking freelance staff guarantee speed and precision.
Alternatively, you yourself can manage and oversee the coding using our coding tool CIScode, which has been developed to handle complex and multi-language surveys. In this case you register your coders in our CISnet administration interface. You then allocate projects to the coders. Within each project you can further define the allocation of specific languages or questions to specific coders. You can also define who is authorized to edit or add to the codeframes. Then the coding can start, also during the ongoing fieldwork.
