CIScode provides a convenient way of transcribing and coding open-ended text or audio responses online. CIScode within our survey tool, you can use all the possibilities offered by the combination of a Windows application and direct online access to the CISnet database of open-ended and closed responses.
With CIS projects you can already start coding online while the fieldwork is ongoing, with any number of coders and a centrally-administered codeframe. You have access to all interviews at all times. Naturally, all updating takes place in real time. Coders only require online access, regardless of their location.

With CIScode you can code a project in parallel in as many languages as you require, using a simple facility for translating the responses. The system offers a multiplicity of multimedia features, e.g. coding of handwritten interviews and of audio interview recordings.

A large number of technical aids are integrated into CIScode for more efficient coding. These include coding in context with display of selected question types and responses from previous questions, extensive filter and sort functions by code, by term or by coder, all also in combination with individually customizable text analysis functions and tag clouds.
